Illustrator PRINTMAKER

Hello, I am a freelance illustrator and printmaker based in Helsinki, having lived in Scotland, Greece and Finland, while working internationally. I studied at Edinburgh College of Art. My background is rooted in graphic design and my illustration work is immediately recognisable for transcending the boundaries between illustration, fine arts, and graphic design. My illustrations are characterised by a unique visual language that translates into experimental compositions, together with hand-printed mark-making, cut-out elements and bold colours. My diverse skill set and constant fascination with what the printed process can offer make my illustrations versatile for various areas of the industry, such as editorial, publishing and advertising.
Literary texts, along with historical and social topics are reflected in my daily image-making, with hints to the power of protest, the climate crisis and our human connections. My work is a strong blend of monotype drawings (at times taking the shape of observational pieces) and free-form collage with found imagery or lush printed textures.
