The sketchbook page brings together quick images that I usually make on-the-go, or as a warm-up before starting to work on something specific. They are observational pieces, museum sketches or simple compositions that can form (or not) the basis of more elaborate illustrations at later stages.

The sketchbook is an important tool for my work, as it helps me be less precious about the way I approach an image. It allows me to explore ideas and directions.
